This Summer

We went to Italy and were spoiled by Stefano's family. We ate fresh fish and fruit, big plates of pasta, prosciutto, stuffed vegetables, trippa, piadina, and we rode bicycles, we went swimming, went to the beach everyday, we went sailing, we played with Stefano's niece and nephews, went out with Stefano's sisters, we met friends and their new babies, we ate gelato (a lot of gelato), we went for walks, we fell asleep in the sun, in the shade, read books, we drove through the hills of Umbria, we strolled through the old streets of Spoleto, we were well loved and cared for.

When we came back to England we went straight to our friends' lovely wedding in the countryside and camped in a ravine next to a beautiful babbling brook one field over from the reception.

After the wedding, once back in London, we found that a sunflower and wildflower garden had been planted in the park in front of our house.

It's a garden planted to bring back the Swallows.

The honeybees love it too...
